My World

Prologue-

This day I finally perfected the project. The new world project. I could literally create a world, like one that exists for real, straight from thought. It takes effect once I’m on the other side and stick the thought serum in my blood so I have to be careful with my thoughts from now on. I really hope this works. Out the door and time for a new world!

Chapter One            

BAD IDEA. BAD IDEA. I THOUGHT TO MYSELF “ANYONE WHO IS TRULY HUMAN REPORT TO THE BOX IMMEDIATELY”. I BLARED THROUGH THE SPEAKERPHONE HOPING SOMEONE WOULD MAKE IT. There, the few strongest who could survive the worlds would become the resistance. Wait you probably don’t even know what I’m talking about. This may sound crazy but my name is Professor James Donb and I made a sort of portal that could make worlds and enter them and exit them. I began to make worlds and more portals and placed the portals in all of my endless worlds but I didn’t realize the consequences that would follow. I powered and made the worlds with my thoughts/imagination, obviously you know what happened, I had thoughts in the back of my mind and couldn’t always control my thoughts so the worlds just had everything I ever thought of in them so when I enter again… It’s not always so good. The things in my worlds grew self-aware and started to watch the portals. Everything in the worlds are alive and can move and hurt and do all kinds of stuff but it all truly changed, or mattered depending on how you think of it, when they started moving through the portals, even the original. That’s how humanity turned toward the apocalypse,   where we are now.     

Chapter Two                      

Ten people, not bad. “How long do we have” It was this bulky guy who seemed impatient. “Don’t worry this place is safe. So let us all introduce ourselves, Professor James Donb and I’m the man who assembled you all here today.” I hope my introduction was okay. I looked around but it took ages for just for this short orange-ish woman to speak. “Half sun ray half human ok! Stop looking at me like that people. Look I may not be full human but I’m half and on the human side.  The name is Oray now can we hurry up?” The rest introduced themselves. The bulky guy from before is Brox, A child named Rose, two teens named Sky and Ter, half avatar Korin, a tall and skinny woman named Kelly, A princess named Lacey, A dwarf sized man named Tre, and finally a 12-foot man in his 50’s without a name. This is going to be tough but we can do this.

Chapter Three

It’s been a year since the resistance formed and we have been doing great. We started going on missions a week after forming and also live together. We may be making progress but the world keeps regenerating, that’s the thing though. We are stuck in one world since the things keep the portals guarded as a number 1 priority. We realized that we had to access other worlds to take down the things out there. Before we could do that we had to learn about my worlds. “Go on teach.” It was Sky. “Okay I’ll hurry up. In my worlds there is about 5 portals each and one portal in every different land. The people in my worlds, the ones allowed in society are a little off.” It was Ter who spoke this time. “So tell us what they do and stuff so we can pretend to be like them.” “Just let me talk! As I was saying, the people of my worlds all have 3-5 letter names, dress in rainbow or only three colours, you know just look at one.” “Wait hold up.” Brox stood up. “What up?” “I thought we were learning about your worlds not your people?” “Honestly?” “Please” Of all people it was the most impatient and straight to action man to ask to learn. “Fine. So in my worlds the buildings, any buildings, change depending on either who the owner is or what the owner wants. That’s why we live on a box, I wanted it to be as simple as possible to not draw too much attention.” I hope that’s enough for now. “More, more! This is kinda interesting.” Rose, of course. Once she found something nice that was now the only thing. “Ya, because there’s nothing more interesting than the things that were start of the apocalypse.” Well Tre just ruined my day. I’m gonna call him grumpy for that. “It was technically the things in them Tre.” Was that supposed to help Lacey? I have to say something before they fight. “Guys in the end it was the fault of me and project so forget it. People get around by teleporter, hover board, animal parts if they are an animal and/or powers.” “And that helps how? We ain’t got none of that, sort of, so what does that information do?” Oray, ironic for her to say that since she has small powers blooming. “How about this! Most of the things in my worlds are some sort of creature so you won’t have to worry about a bush jumping out of a bush to attack, at least not always. Does that help?!?! Huh!?” I look around and everyone is shocked at my outburst. “Sorry, should we continue before I kill you all.” We all knew I could by just thinking so we stood in silence for a minute before I felt like talking. “If I focus hard I can see my worlds. Like as a God’s view. I can see the landscape basically. I found this world and mapped it. I found 6 portals and one in the woods that is unguarded.” And even though I’m not done everyone starts packing. Perfect, just pack for your death. We are so dead, well they are.

Chapter Four

Well they learned that in my world that anything that is toooooooooooooooo quiet for toooooooooooooooo long freezes. Ya my world has some weird universe rules. It’s probably just all the random stuff I kept in the back of my head. Like how if you are on a hill and have a gun there is 500% chance of an avalanche. It’s probably because of this one riddle I heard but who cares. So I just realized why this forest portal isn’t guarded, it guards itself. It’s a money tree forest. In my world they don’t use money and it is literally the ROOT of all evil, hahaha even when I don’t think about it I am awesome at puns. So paper money is forbidden and anyone near is considered dead because paper money consumes, it changes you, then kills you. It’s a weird process but basically what happens is that upon contact paper money turns you into a crazy psychopath and puts voices in your head and you stay like that for a week, and then die. The cure is either die before the paper money kills you or have a bee touch you, touch honey, basically anything with touching bees and anything related to bees = cure. “Is there really no other portal?” “No Korin. This is the only way. Plus why are you complaining of all people? Your avatar half gives you more resistance against paper money.” “But we used 5 tubs of honey for everyone else!” “True. Damn, Oray and noname touched. I got noname take Oray. Got your tub right?” “What was our conversation just about? Of course I got it Dumb, I mean Donb.” Haha, very funny. “Honestly where is that stupid portal?!?!” Brox, Brox. “It should be right here but don’t worry nothing else is in the forest and we can’t be affected by the paper money anymore since Kelly made us all eat A WHOLE TUB OF HONEY.” “At least we’re safe okay.” Kelly replied. “Yasssssssssss!” “Shhhhhhh” I said to the group. Kelly spoke “Who’s missing, whoever it is they either found the portal or found evil army.” 10 people, someone is missing. “Gold-ish check, Blue-ish check.” “Woah, did you just call us by our colors!” Oray and Korin said in unison. “Yes I did, sorry. I’m still doing it though.” “Hey guys, while you were arguing we found Rose and the portal.” Brox told us. Perfect. “We might as well just go in.” Rose stated. “What? Are you crazy?” Lacey screamed. “Sorry, you were too curious to think straight Rose. We have to have James go in first since he almost can’t die in these worlds. Plus if it’s guarded he can just make something or pull a tool from his pocket. It’s the most strategic approach. We can even have Tre or Rose go in and slip past and scout.” “Wow Lace. K, Royal is right I’ll go with Doc and Clear it for you guys.” “So I guess it’s me and Tre. Let’s go Tre."

Chapter Five

Well what’s up on the other side of this portal is so much not how we expected. Nothing, legit nothing. It was a zero G zone so I didn’t have to check the floor for traps or something like that. There were a lot of things flying as if it was space junk. No, space junk! We’re in space! Why aren’t we de- My world, forgot. What’s my space thing again? Hmmmmm. Forgot. Well it’s basically clear so let me get Tre and get the others. “Tre, we ready.” “Ya, if there’s a problem we didn’t find we’ll have the whole group to take it.” “Perfect logic Tre.” “I know, thank you.” We get the others and fly around a bit and try to find out what’s outside. “Use the power you said you got.” Sky told me. “Ok, how many times do I have to tell you that I don’t have powers?! I just have a connection with the worlds.” “So only in your worlds you sort of have powers?” Ter this time. “I know you two are twins but honestly there would be no difference if you two were one person. Like you share a mind and only talk back to back. And that mind gotta know that I ain’t got powers. I only have like some kind of Psychic connection with the worlds.” “Physic connection? Isn’t that like powers?” “Okay guys listen.” Almost everyone was starting to listen now “There is something in my blood that connects me to the worlds and it’s how they were created. Just read the prologue.” “Prologue?” “Oh ya, you guys don’t know… Hey dude, don’t tell them ok.” “James who you talking to?” “Nobody… anyways, did anyone find a way out?” “Let’s just go straight till the land ends and boom! New land.” Tre suggested. “Tre you honestly just defeated the purpose of this entire thing. What’s the whole point of trying to take your life/world back if you don’t even know what it is that you’re trapped in and trying to escape?” Lacey threw at Tre for that genius suggestion. “What?” Oh, perfect, Tre and Lacey are at it again. The evil queen mixed with Snow White versus Dopey mixed with Grumpy. Every. Single. Day. While they argued Me, Rose, Noname, Oray, and Korin tried to get this. “Oray, you haven’t said anything in a while, what up Sunshine?” “Really, you of all people joking right now.” Oray replied. “I just haven’t heard you in a while, and you talk a lot. Like you have a lot to say. Like you add a different view point on things.” She responds with an honestly face. Like a face that says really? A true sarcasm face. Well I really zoned out cause Tre and Lacey went from arguing to planning, Sky and Ter went exploring, Rose and Noname were thinking about where we are and how to work this space zone, Oray and Korin were trying to sense anything from anywhere that’s not where we are, and the last group was Brox and Kelly who were experimenting. We made groups during our time together and decided that this is a perfect balance. Orin is powers, Brelly is Brain and Brawn, Skyter is because they are one person, Tracey is just why not, Roname are the thinkers/theorists, and finally I’m sort of solo in this 11 people resistance so ya. Oh look, they found the way out. Time to go then. Probably taking on an army, maybe find out what up with space in my worlds.

Chapter Six

Apparently, somehow, space didn’t have anything exciting about but the exciting was outside. It was wolf heads, Egyptian wild dog head things. There was also a mini intelligent robot at a control panel with giant gunmen surrounding it. “Run!” someone screamed. The gunmen were shooting limbs at us. What kind of mind imagines human sized flying guns that shoot live limbs? “Korin get Rose! Me and Brox will stall while SkyTer goes left Oray take the panel, Noname scout, Tracey find a way through. Donb you know what to do.” Kelly ordered, we split and followed the plan I went to a corner and wrote in a journal/notebook thing. I do something different every fight but I usually write in this book now. I watched Brelly strategize for a second then attack with Brox’s unrivaled strength, Korin help Rose, all of them just doing their thing. I still think it’s impossible to take down my worlds but I think maybe we might have a small chance. Anyway the guards went down and Oray was with Brelly, and Tracey trying to work the panel. “Donb get over here!” Brox yelled. “What’s the problemo?” “You’re the professor, now’s the time to be smart.” “He also made it Brox.” “Sorry I forgot Tre.” “Ya ya let’s just do this qu- What is this madness???” I asked. “That’s what she said.” Brox said pointing at Oray “Can’t I just try to use my sun ray powers to see the inside of the panel and then we know what’s inside and how to work it?” Oray wondered. “Guys, James could just create something to use it.” Kelly reminded everyone that I could create things out of thin air. “If James created this wouldn’t he know how to use it?” Oray pointed out. “Ya but some things created themselves.” Kelly responded. “Makes no sense.” And like that Oray and Kelly were screaming at each other. “Uhhh… guys, still here you know.” “Oh ya.” They said together. “Listen we can’t stay here forever so let’s just get everyone together and decide.” “You’re a little late Doc.” Noname said. “I’m always late. Like can I ever just be the first one to find the thing or do the plan you know.” “You can’t you trained us too well Professor.” Korin shouted from afar “Hey Korin how’s Rose?” “Fine, Sky and Ter are fine too.” “Just barely though.” Ter said. “We have to move, do you guys know the way out?” “The walls move. You guys know an exit?” “Let’s go guys!” Lacey shouted. We all followed Noname, if only he wasn’t so slow. “Sky, anything back there?” “I think it senses movement cause the walls are… opening and closing in. The walls are doing everything. Some are just disappearing.” “It’s worse than I thought.” I said. “Noname I’ll lead, tell me where to go.” “Right.” He replied. “Which way!!” “RIGHT!” Oh. We kept on running but Noname started to lag behind and we were almost lost. Technology also makes you see things so this was the impossible maze. I think that’s a thing. I can’t believe I’m saying this but I kind of miss my spy teachers. Ha, that world seems as if it’s just a dream now. The actual real world. I can barely remember what it’s like now. I wonder if they preserved it or just forgot about it. The possibilities are endless. “Noname where now? Noname? NONAME!?!?” No no no no no! “Where’s Noname!?” “I think we lost a life Professor.” Rose said in her cute little worried voice. Impossible, you’re just thinking things cause of the technology.” “I thought technology made us see things, like all those shoes. And dead fish in the shoes!” If only we had a cure. “Noname might be dead but If we don’t move we’ll all be dead.” Just as I say that a piece of floor opened a bit ahead of us. “Look a magic carpet, let’s get on!” Brox said happily. We called for him but then started to run when we realized where he was running, the gap. “Brox! Stop! Fight the technology!” Tre cried. Brox was slowing down but still moving pretty fast. “Brox come on!” Lacey shouted this time. Even slower but not enough. He was about to drop “Brox!” A blue blur swiped right where Brox was. “Are you okay?” Someone asked Oh My God! Korin just came out of nowhere, jumped, and saved Brox. “Brox looked up then got up and tried to not look amazed but absolutely failed. “Thanks Korin. I could’ve died, but I didn’t. Thanks.” “Ya, sure no problem. Just making sure we don’t suffer another death.” “Another?” Brox was the one to ask. “Noname died.” And Korin was the one to answer. We all just ran in silence in whatever direction we decided was best. “We’re lost and we’re all going to die.” That’s a first. Ter thinking negatively. “I see light.” Is it sky, Sky? Cause you know you should be great at spotting your own kind.” “Honestly, why is it that every time we almost die you try to make a joke?” Oray asked. “Well one of my universe rules is that making jokes in near death situations either means that someone’s going to die or good luck.” “You either just killed one of us or brought us good luck!?!?” Almost everyone shouted at me. “Or both. Shouldn’t we be escaping?” “Are you serious? It was sky.” Sky said. “Told ya.” “So who’s dying?” Honestly Ter, like what happened? “Looks like it was the death one, camo human-sized flower guys.” Rose told us. I took a quick glance at Ter and he had an emotionless expression on his face. I really can’t tell what’s up with him. “Slow approach guys.” Rose said. “Rose you’re learning but the thing is that the technology and rooms are going to t- A frog bomb! Ahhhh!!!” Why Lacey!? Why now? The camo flower heard her. “I saw it. Everyone spread out and take a different side of the last room. Stay vigilante go!” I yelled to the team. The first target was Lacey “My turn to actually do something right guys.” “No one said you can’t fight!” Korin yelled as she tried to use her high senses to find the flower. “Found it! Not so useless now huh?” Lacey yelled “No one said you can’t fight Royal… at least not today.” Oray yelled while she held the flower. We all checked for more things but we all knew that if there was things out there their probably just waiting for us to come out. “We took down the flower but the walls are moving let’s go.” Ter said. “Right.” “Let me stay back with James to watch out. You fine with that Doc.” “Of course Ter.” Everyone passed on and it was time to go. “All clear Ter let’s go.” “Right.” I start to walk when I’m pulled to the ground. Ter on top of me and pulls out a knife. “I don’t want to do this but I’m smarter than my brother and I realized that not only are you the reason for this world problem but that this will never end. You’re going to be the death in the almost death joke.” “Why Ter? There could be another way.” “You know this is the only way, even if we find the first world, or even better earth, it’ll still be run by your evil things. There’s no escape except your escape from this world so face the truth, Noname could’ve been alive, this could’ve been prevented if you just died.” “How do you know if I die it’ll just keep going on, the worlds stay just stop regenerating. Or maybe the worlds and everything inside just disappear from existence. You never know what horrible things could happen.” “You just don’t want to lose your precious life. If this fails you could probably become the leader of the things or something. How do I know that you aren’t actually working with your creations? Listen I’m stronger than most people and I know more things you can’t fool me. I may be quiet but I know what’s going on. You have this thing in your blood that connects you to the worlds.” “Ter honestly.” “Don’t honestly me!!” He raised his knife but I punched him before he could kill me. I got a cut on my arm. I looked at Ter, he was already on his feet. I may be feeling a little crazy but I can still fight. I caught his feet and took him down. The room, it was starting to change. Ter was getting up but I hurried to my feet and elbowed him hard in the face. I then picked up his knife and sliced him JUST across his face, enough to hurt him so much but just doesn’t kill him. No way! He’s a… a…

Chapter Seven

Finally, a new chapter. About time. What was I saying again? Oh ya. A… a… ROBOT!!! But how? What about Sky? No wonder. For a whole year I trusted a robot. “Ter what is this.” “I was made by you but I didn’t remember anything before being 6 years old. This person told me Sky was my brother and that I was destined to either save humanity, die trying, or fail and have the creator do something crazy.” “Garbage. Listen if you let me live we could do this, without deaths.” “No. I can’t control myself, I’m wired to kill and eventually I’m going to attack you again. I can’t continue with you Professor. I’m sorry but I’m the joke death.” “Ter.” I quietly called his name but he walked right into a floor hole. I jogged out into a city maze and found the rest crying and fighting. I created a bazooka, jumped in the battle, and fired. I don’t even care what it was I just needed to kill something. This is the worst part everyone turned to me smiling, and then realized Ter’s not with me.

Chapter Eight

I explained to everyone what happened and when I was done Sky just died. “I can’t believe all this time.” “We need to keep moving. This entire world is full of different types of mazes and I don’t want to find out what’s up with this city maze.” Rose said. “True, sorry kid but we gotta move.” Tre said. “Warehouse.” Lacey pointed out. We entered the Warehouse and talked a bit. “He technically wasn’t even your brother so don’t stress.” Korin said wow none of us know how to cheer someone up. “I’m going to do something crazy like Ter said.” “Why? You Idiot!” Sky yelled at me. “I’m going to make all three of the things Ter said true.” I need to do this, for Ter, he was sort of right. “It’s worth a try.” “NO IT’S NOT!” Lacey exclaimed “If this doesn’t work we’re going to lose you.” “You guys don’t need me anyways. Plus I’ll always be with you guys.” “His death is wasted like that!” Sky screamed “You know I’m not doing this anymore. I rather fight to keep these worlds, at least that way I won’t have to suffer anymore, plus I’ll join my brother’s actual family.” And just like that Sky left and went to join the enemy. “Their probably going to kill him.” Brox mentioned “Well that just means that another life is going to be wasted for no reason. Let me do this.” “He’s right.” Korin said. “All In favor.” She then put her hand out in front of her and waited. First was Brox “In” “Add me and Kelly” Oray said as she and Kelly smiled at each other and put their interlocked hands in the middle. “Fine, Tracey agrees. Right Royal.” Tre sort of joked. Lacey looked nervous but Tre moved REAL close to Lacey and they put their hands in the middle. Curious little Rose was last and slowly put her hand in the middle saying “For all the dead.” I put Ter’s knife in my hand then put it in the middle. “This is the blade that almost took my life as well as Ter’s. On three we will all force our hands to my forehead, ok.” “Yep.” They all said at once. We all grabbed the knife. “Three.”

Perfect last words. At least it wasn’t Polonius’ infamous “I am Slain” I guess this is the end of the story. At least for me. Whose view point are you going to do now? Do Sky and Oray. Yes. Ooooo the sequel going to be so good. Unless everyone died of course. Thanks for writing or reading this anyways and Heaven or Hell I go.
